For his part, Foreign Affairs Minister Taye Atske Selassie highlighted the historical significance of Ethiopia's sovereignty, emphasizing the country's centuries-long freedom and the victory of Adwa against Italian invaders as a testament to its national independence.
Ethiopian National Disaster Risk Management Commissioner Shiferaw Teklemariam underscored the importance of food sovereignty as a pillar of national independence. He urged the nation to intensify efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and achieve food security.
