The Russian president's special envoy to the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and Chad's Ambassador to Moscow, Mahamoud Adam Bechir, confirmed the two countries' intention to expand cooperation in trade, economics and humanitarian spheres.
"In the course of the conversation, topical issues of further strengthening of traditionally friendly Russian-Chadian relations were discussed," the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The ministry noted, "At the same time, the mood of Moscow and N'Djamena on maintaining an active political dialogue and expanding cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres in the spirit of the agreements reached during the working visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to the Republic of Chad in June this year was confirmed."
The meeting was held at the initiative of the Chadian ambassador.
