Putin, Modi to Hold Talks in Narrow, Expanded Formats During Indian Leader Visit, Kremlin Says

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks in limited and extended formats during the Indian leader's visit to Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday, adding that they will hopefully be able to communicate in an informal setting as well.

Modi will pay an official visit to Russia on July 8-9.

"This will be an official visit. And we hope that the heads of state will be able to communicate in an informal setting as well. And of course, the negotiations will take place both in a narrow format, in the Kremlin, and in an expanded format — with delegations," Peskov told Rossiya 1 reporter Pavel Zarubin.

Moscow expects Modi’s visit, which is important for bilateral relations, to be full-scale in nature, he added.
