Russia's giant fertilizer producer Uralchem intends to increase fertilizer deliveries to Southeast Asia and Africa this year, seeing positive dynamics in both sales and consumption this year, the company's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dimitry Tatyanin, told Sputnik on the sidelines of the ongoing St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Traditionally, three-quarters of the potash we produce is exported. As for the nitrogen group, more than half goes to the domestic market. If we talk about geography, this year we expect to increase deliveries to Southeast Asia and Africa," he said.
Commenting on prices in the fertilizer market, Tatyanin described them as stable. "We expect that the second half of the year will have about the same dynamics as the first five months, which were positive both in terms of sales and consumption," he added.
The Uralchem CEO noted that the company also has a number of joint projects with other countries and remains open to new proposals and cooperation with partners around the world.
"As for possible acquisitions and joint ventures, we have a number of ideas in the pipeline. We will tell you about them when the time is right," he added.
