Russia’s GDP growth in the first quarter of 2024 has accelerated to 5.4% year-on-year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Friday in its preliminary assessment.
"According to preliminary estimates, the index of physical volume of gross domestic product amounted to 105.4% in the first quarter of 2024 relative to the same period of 2023," the service said.
Russia's gross domestic product may grow by more than 3% by the end of the year as the current state of the economy allows to improve forecasts of its development, the Russian president earlier pointed out.
