Russia’s GDP growth in the first quarter of 2024 has accelerated to 5.4% year-on-year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Friday in its preliminary assessment. Russia's gross domestic product may grow by more than 3% by the end of the year as the current state of the economy allows to improve forecasts of its development, the Russian president earlier pointed out.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier said that macroeconomic indicators in Russia in the beginning of 2024 turned out to be higher than the forecasts of the government, the Central Bank and experts.
Russia’s GDP
growth in the first quarter of 2024 has accelerated to 5.4% year-on-year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Friday in its preliminary assessment.
"According to preliminary estimates, the index of physical volume of gross domestic product amounted to 105.4% in the first quarter of 2024 relative to the same period of 2023," the service said.
Russia's gross domestic product
