We are looking for engineers from the petroleum, chemical, electric power, electromechanical fields, scientists from the field of physics and chemistry," Erbas said.
He said specialists will be trained for a year. They will study for nine months at Tomsk Polytechnic University, and then three months directly at the nuclear center in El Alto.
“They will become pioneers in applying nuclear technology in our country,” Erbas said.
The Center for Nuclear Research and Technology in Bolivia is a very important project to develop cooperation between Russia and Latin American countries in the field of high technology and strengthening the Russian Rosatom state nuclear corporation's positions on the world market.
The CNRT project offers a number of high-tech solutions for a variety of sectors of the economy. These include the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, processing of agricultural products to ensure their food safety, sterilization of various medical products (including personal protective equipment), research in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, studying the properties of various materials, and training of nuclear power industry specialists.
