Senegal's new President Bassirou Diomaye Faye ordered a comprehensive assessment of the economic and financial situation.
He has asked the country's Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko to carry out this task in order to draw up an action plan by the end of April, "with a clear schedule for achieving the set objectives."
The decision was taken at the first cabinet meeting of the new government, which was approved by Diomaye on Saturday.
Last week, the oil, gas and mining sectors audits were announced by the youngest president in Senegal's history, who also urges the investors to contribute to the development of the West African nation.
