Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev has held talks in Moscow with South African National Security Advisor Sydney Mufamadi, the Russian Security Council said on Thursday.
"In Moscow, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev held talks with Sydney Mufamadi, National Security Advisor to the President of South Africa ... The issues of Russian-South African security cooperation were discussed," the security council said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, the Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin had held a telephone conversation with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. The two leaders discussed a number of issues of practical cooperation in the trade, economic, energy and humanitarian spheres.
