Algeria's Ministry of Energy has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Russia's state nuclear corporation, Rosatom.
According to the ministerial communiqué, the document includes a "roadmap of joint activities for 2024 and 2025." The latter may concern nuclear technologies in medicine, the use of research reactors, or the production of medicines.
The memorandum was signed at the Atomexpo-2024 Forum in Sirius, on the Black Sea coast of Russia.
Another country with which Rosatom inked a roadmap for cooperation in nuclear energy is Burkina Faso. According to the document signed on Tuesday, the possibility of the construction of a nuclear power plant in Burkina Faso will be studied. Another cooperation roadmap was signed between Rosatom and Mali.
