"We still maintain the need to find a peaceful solution through negotiations, but at the same time, we emphasize that any solution must be based on the Jeddah [negotiation] platform, we will implement it and then we can move on. We, based on the conviction of the need for negotiations, immediately agreed [to the Libyan initiative] ... indirect negotiations are expected through the mediation of Libya and Turkey," the minister said on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
"We hope for good news, liberation is already close. The satellite city of Omdurman is almost free from the rebels. We hope that we will be able to liberate the remaining parts of the city from them; now they control several blocks. The military will deal with them in these blocks in the near future," Ali said.
