The forum "For the Freedom of Nations" should use the proposals of African partners, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, suggested.
"I want to note that the developments that other parties, unions and our partners have will not be ignored. In particular, for example, the proposals of African partners are very in demand, what was done last December under the auspices of the African Union, when a useful and important project called the 'Global Black Center' was launched. Its tasks largely coincide with the tasks of the forum" he said.
The Global Black History, Heritage and Education Center is a platform launched by the African Union for the promotion of the history, heritage and education of the black people globally.
Medvedev also suggested creating a global movement for liberation from the colonial legacy. It is expected that political parties, public organizations, scientists, representatives of the expert community and business will take part in the movement.
About 400 delegates from over 60 countries are expected to participate in the forum "For the Freedom of Nations," which takes place in Moscow on February 15-17. They discuss issues of countering interference in the sovereign affairs of states, countering destructive neocolonial practices, independence in political, financial, economic, information and other spheres.
