Africa Possesses Its Own Voice and Interests, Which Align With Those of Russia: SA Panafricanist
For Themba Godi, leader of the African People's Convention, told Sputnik Africa that the Moscow Declaration is itself proof that the Africa-Russia partnership will keep growing.
According to Godi, the declaration matters because it speaks that Africa is part of the world and is "no longer a colonial project on the menu."
The declaration affirms that Africa has a view, one that aligns with the progressive view of the world, which holds that Africa cannot be ruled by the West.
"I think Africa is correct in meeting with Russia to speak for itself and about its aspirations."
