Russia and Mali Sign Transport Cooperation Roadmap for 2026–2030
The document was signed by Russian Transport Minister Dmitry Yadrov and Mali's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Madina Sissoko Dembélé. It builds on a Memorandum of Cooperation signed in the spring and sets the stage for joint projects.
During the meeting, the parties discussed:
🟠involving Russian companies in developing transport corridors linking Mali to seaports in other African countries;
🟠constructing logistics infrastructure;
🟠railway and road construction;
🟠inland waterway transport;
🟠airport modernization.
Professional training was also discussed. Malian universities are already part of the Russian-African Network Transport University, while Russia is ready to offer internships to Malian engineers, technicians, and managers at its specialized higher education institutions.
Mali is also a key participant in the emerging Russia–West Africa transport route.
