'They Are Waiting for Our Tests, Vaccines, and Knowledge': Russia's Sanitary Service Head Details Health Aid to Africa
Russia provides multifaceted support to Africa, supplying tests, vaccines, and expert personnel to combat dangerous infections, Rospotrebnadzor head Anna Popova told Sputnik on the sidelines of the third Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow.
Moscow is developing targeted diagnostics and vaccines for pathogens not found in Russia, recently supplying Uganda with a test for the Bundibugyo Ebola strain, she noted.
Additionally, Rospotrebnadzor will train 450 African specialists in epidemiological security, Popova highlighted.
"They are very eager to learn alongside us and master our technologies," she emphasized.
