Securing Africa's Health: Russia and CAR Strengthen Ties Against Epidemics
At the third Russia-Africa Summit, Russia's sanitary service Rospotrebnadzor Head Anna Popova and the CAR’s Minister of Health Pierre Somse signed a memorandum to jointly combat dangerous infections.
According to Rospotrebnadzor, the partnership will focus on:
🟠Conducting joint research on infectious diseases;
🟠Training specialized medical personnel;
🟠Strengthening laboratory infrastructure.
The agency has already trained over 2,000 African specialists and researched more than 50 dangerous infections, significantly boosting the continent's capacity to prevent and respond to health outbreaks, the Russian service said on social media.
