Uralchem Group is participating in the 13th World Potato Congress (WPC 2026), being held from 26 to 30 October in Naivasha, Nakuru County, Kenya. The event is staged in an East African country for the first time and has drawn around 1,000 delegates from more than 60 countries. The list of participants includes local potato growers, farm agronomists, and scientists, as well as representatives of government bodies and businesses involved in the development of the agricultural sector.
Visitors to Uralchem Group’s stand A21 will be able to learn about the broad range of fertilisers that the Group supplies to Kenya and obtain practical advice on how best to apply them. Among the products Uralchem is showcasing at WPC 2026 are its flagship potassium chloride, urea, calcium ammonium nitrate, and NPKS 27:6:6:2, together with concentrated calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and MAP 12:61 from the SOLAR water-soluble fertiliser range.
A Field Day is planned for the final day of the WPC, at which Uralchem Group’s specialists will make a practical presentation to agricultural producers to show the visible effect of balanced fertilisation on demonstration plots.
Nakuru County is one of Kenya’s key agricultural regions. The country itself is among the leading potato producers in sub-Saharan Africa, and potato growing directly or indirectly provides employment for 3.5 million Kenyans, contributing over USD 400 million a year to the national budget.

"Kenya is one of Africa's most dynamic agricultural markets, and the fact it was chosen to host the World Potato Congress in Naivasha underlines this status. Uralchem Group has extensive international experience in implementing effective potato growing systems and is ready to provide farmers with tailored nutrition and agronomic support solutions. As one of the world's leading mineral fertiliser producers and a provider of advanced agricultural solutions and services, we are committed to developing mutually beneficial partnerships with farmers in Kenya and across the African continent," said Olga Poltavskaya, Uralchem marketing director.
