Public Broadcasters Must Develop National Language in Digital Age, Malagasy Media Chief Says

The national language must be preserved and secured in public media domain so that to prevent standardization from erasing dialects, Elisée Lemana, head of the Radio and Television Office of Madagascar, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the 2nd Global Digital Forum in Moscow.

He emphasized that digitization must not erase identity or culture, and that training media professionals is the key to information sovereignty.
