Why is France’s Education System Deteriorating, Driving High School Students to Protest? French Lawyer Explains
There are two opposing views on the crisis, French lawyer Régis de Castelnau told Sputnik Africa:
Some say that the destruction of the public education system “was a deliberate project.”
Others say that “it is the consequence of economic incompetence, an inability to finance important things in a developed country like France.”
Either way, the state of education in France is “somewhat catastrophic,” with school infrastructure practically abandoned and staff “poorly trained” and “poorly paid,” he said.
