South African FM Tells US Ambassador to 'Get Out of the Kitchen' If He's Not Ready for Dialogue
The South African government has issued a third démarche—a formal diplomatic protest—to US Ambassador Leo Brent Bozell III since February, Ronald Lamola told a Western media outlet, citing his "undiplomatic conduct" and interference in the country's domestic affairs.
"I was taken aback. You can't have a diplomat who says time for talking is over. It's our job to talk. So if you can't talk as a diplomat and you cannot dialogue ... get out of the kitchen," he said.
The reprimand followed Bozell's remarks on the so-called "white genocide" and his meetings with AfriForum representatives, where the ambassador expressed frustration with Pretoria and claimed the US was "tired of numerous discussions" and had run out of patience with South Africa.
