Tanzania Launches Guidelines to Integrate Financial Education Into Higher Learning Curricula: Media
The program is a joint effort between the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Bank of Tanzania.
Speaking at the launch in Dar es Salaam, Deputy Minister for Education, Science and Technology Wanu Hafidh Ameir noted that financial education is vital for building a workforce capable of driving national development and avoiding costly mistakes for youth.
According to Ameir, the guidelines will help graduates to:
▪ budget and manage their income;
▪ save, invest, borrow responsibly;
▪ spot financial opportunities and risks;
▪ guard against fraud;
▪ use financial services and technology safely.
