Russia to Help Niger Develop Processing Facilities, Not Just Raw Material Extraction: Russia's Energy MinisterThe first meeting of the Russian-Nigerien Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held in Niamey, co-chaired by Sergey Tsivilev and Nigerien Energy Minister Alzoum Seyni. According to the Russian energy ministry statement, geological exploration constitutes an important domain, given that Niger possessed considerable natural resources.
