Those expectations for Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda stem from the large number of visitors expected to arrive, whose presence will have a major economic impact alongside other effects, political and economic analyst Dominic Haule told Sputnik Africa.
Hospitality Set to Thrive
"Many sectors could benefit. If you look at the overall picture, these players will arrive in their thousands, and some of the fans will also come in their thousands. One sector that will benefit directly is tourism—that is clear. The tourism sector will gain a great deal," he added.
Movement Across Every Mode
Transport will gain across sea, air, and road, including Zanzibar sea crossings, bus services, planes moving between locations, and taxi and daladala drivers, while young people will benefit from digital infrastructure, with online bookings driving demand for internet cafés, restaurants, and food services, Haule noted.
