Burundi-Tanzania Joint Cooperation Commission Meeting is Success, Says Tanzanian FM
The Seventh Meeting of the Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation (JPC) was held in Bujumbura, Burundi, on Wednesday.
Mahmoud Thabit Kombo thanked the Burundian side for the excellent organization of the event, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
His Burundian counterpart, Édouard Bizimana, struck a warmer note, saying the peoples of the two countries are deeply bound by historical, cultural, economic, and social ties and a long tradition of solidarity and fraternity, regardless of the borders between them.
Key Agreements
The two countries will strengthen cooperation in politics, security, trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, and social development.
Talks covered combating crimes, joint border patrols, and tackling human trafficking.
