Russia Stood With CAR in 'Most Difficult Hours,' Central African Minister Says
Moscow helped restore state authority across the Central African Republic and create conditions for peace, CAR's Minister of Economy, Planning, and International Cooperation Marc Mandaba said at a plenary session of the Russia-CAR Intergovernmental Commission.
Mandaba called for cooperation to extend to energy, industry, agriculture, science, training, and health, according to a Sputnik Africa correspondent.
"Our two countries have for each other what the other does not quite have," he said.
Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev, heading the Russian delegation, defined the meeting's objectives as "maximizing the necessary measures to achieve our common goal: the development of our countries' economies for the benefit of our respective populations."
