Focus on Africa and Gas: Russia Opens Accreditations for Major Fall Summits
The Kremlin press service has announced the opening of accreditations for journalists wishing to cover several major international events in Moscow at the end of October.
🟠Russia-Africa Summit
Dates: October 28 and 29
It is the highest-level platform for political dialogue between Russia and African leaders.
Main objectives:
- strengthen multilateral strategic dialogue;
- discuss international security issues;
- sign important intergovernmental agreements.
Previous editions:
Sochi (2019)
St. Petersburg (2023) – more than 800 journalists from 43 countries covered the event.
🟠Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum
Dates: October 28 and 29 (in parallel with the summit)
🟠8th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum
Date: October 27
This intergovernmental organization is often called the OPEC of gas. It brings together about twenty of the main countries holding natural gas reserves (Russia, Algeria, Iran, Qatar, Venezuela).
