'Government Values Role That Young People Play in as far as Attaining Holistic Developmental Outcome': Zim Analyst
Through various support mechanisms introduced in Zimbabwe, like recently launched Munhumutapa Youth Housing Program with more than 300 residential stands, young people are expected to build wealth and generate income that can be used for future needs and investments, Chairman of African Cause Trust think-tank Elton Paul Ziki told Sputnik Africa.
The Zimbabwean government is also working to expand access to connectivity, including broadband and digital infrastructure within the education sector, he said.
In education, the government is prioritising Education 5.0, a heritage-based approach aimed at encouraging young people to develop knowledge rooted in their cultural heritage, Ziki noted.
The government has also established Village Business Units, where pieces of land are transformed into productive enterprises through initiatives such as solar-powered boreholes, enabling the production of specific goods with established markets, the analyst added.
