SA Presents Anti-Poaching & Border Surveillance Systems 'for the Benefit of People': Local Engineer

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research—world-class African research and development organization—is mandated "to do research to improve the lives of people in South Africa," Willie Nel, chief radar engineer at the council, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the Africa Aerospace and Defense 2026 Expo.

"The plan is to roll these out to the Kruger National Park and to other parks in the country and anybody that needs protection against poaching, as well as for anything where you have border management problems."
