Africa’s Largest Africa Aerospace & Defense 2026 Expo Opens in SA
The 13th edition of the exhibition opened at Waterkloof Air Force Base in Centurion, near Pretoria, and will run from Wednesday to Sunday.
This year’s focus: unmanned systems, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence for defense, SA Defense Minister Angie Motshekga said.
International participation: 33 countries and 287 companies from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America are attending, the minister added.
On the sidelines: closed bilateral talks between military delegations and defense ministers are expected, covering major arms procurement contracts, alongside international symposiums and tactical weapons demonstrations.
Russia’s participation: According to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Russia is expected to exhibit approximately 500 products, including:
▪ Drones and anti-drone systems;
▪ Electronic warfare system;
▪ Air-to-air missiles;
▪ Guided aerial bombs and unguided rockets;
▪ Small arms including AK assault rifles.
