African Leaders Need Commitment & Collective Negotiation to Change Western Exploitative System: Expert
"Africa can be unified and negotiate" as a single coordinated bloc, Dr. Leta Sera told Sputnik Africa.
"Africa is a great asset; [it] must decide for itself. Africa, as the African Union, must stand together and be able to negotiate with these exploiters," he said.
Key points raised by the expert:
🟠Population size and market potential: Countries like Ethiopia—that has 130 million people—can leverage their large population and market potential as bargaining tools.
🟠Collective negotiation: African countries must negotiate as one to sell their products effectively.
🟠Strengthening multilateral alternatives: The strengthening of the BRICS bloc and Africa's cooperation with China and Russia are positive steps for future growth.
