Togo's Coffee Production Rises 2.5% in 2025 as Exports Slump

The 2025 harvest reached 30,472 tonnes, according to Economy Minister Badanam Patoki, as reported by the local media.

However, exports for the 2025-2026 season fell to 2,782 tonnes, compared to 4,400 tonnes the previous year (-37%).

Lomé is focusing on quality and traceability and plans to extend the post-harvest centers already established for cocoa to include coffee.

Increased production is supported by the Togo Agricultural Modernization Program (ProMAT) 2025-2034, particularly through:

▪ the provision of specific fertilizers;

▪ subsidized planting material;

▪ technical support;

▪ plant health research.
