Attempts to Isolate Russia Through Sanctions Are Self-Defeating, Says Serbian Official"Without the Russian economy, the world becomes much poorer,” Aleksandar Vulin, former deputy prime minister of Serbia, told Sputnik. Speaking on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia's Vladivostok, Vulin pointed to Europe's decades of prosperity fueled by cheap Russian energy. "Now, they choose to pay much higher prices on the world market. Why?" he asked. His remarks echo repeated Russian official statements that the country has adapted to sanctions pressure.
