Operation Dougoukoloko: Malian Army Targets Terrorist Groups' Logistics
The Malian Armed Forces have struck a militant logistics hub in the Modiakoy sector of Timbuktu, according to a statement from the Malian army.
The combat began after soldiers observed around ten individuals preparing to collect ammunition and tires from the site on Wednesday.
The strike is part of Operation Dougoukoloko, a nationwide campaign launched in April 2025, with the following objectives:
▪ To assert the sovereignty over the entire territory of Mali;
▪ To eradicate terrorist and criminal threats;
▪ To ensure the free movement of people.
