"It is not a normal commercial agreement […] We've seen the U.S. Imposing itself on Venezuela, imposing sanctions on the country to collapse," Mwali says.
The conversation considers the wider struggle over strategic resources, the role of the United States in the Global South, and what Venezuela’s oil could mean for global energy markets.
