BRICS Becomes 'Key Pillar of Emerging Multipolar International System': Russian Diplomat
"Differences in our approaches should not divide us; on the contrary, they can become a source of new ideas and greater mutual understanding," said Daria Peliavina, first secretary at the Russian Embassy in SA, during her remarks at the opening of the Fifth BRICS Summer School.
The school gives opportunities to discuss:
🟠international politics and economics;
🟠science and education;
🟠digital technologies and AI;
🟠culture and entrepreneurship;
🟠sustainable development.
"I encourage you to make the most of this opportunity, to exchange views openly, ask difficult questions, put forward bold ideas, and above all, listen carefully to one another," Peliavina underlined.
Despite travel difficulties, the summer school successfully hosted 150 participants, said Raymond Matlala, CEO of the South African BRICS Youth Association.
"The other purpose of the summer school is to start encouraging research output for early scholars and researchers in the BRICS," Matlala added.
