Africa's New Generation Reshapes Politics From Government to Streets: Tanzania's Geopolitics Expert
A new generation is gaining influence across African politics, not only through younger leaders but also through shifting policies and increased youth participation, Godfrey Mchungu told Sputnik Africa.

Outside government, young Kenyans forced President Ruto to withdraw the 2024 Finance Bill through mass protests—a vivid example of youth's political involvement without getting an official position.
While young leaders are taking power and youth are pressuring governments, challenges remain: delivering jobs, accountability, and strong institutions will determine whether this is a real transformation or just a generational shift, Mchungu noted.
