Niger Army Command Thanks Russian Africa Corps for Support During ‘Rebellion Attempt’: Diplomat
This was revealed by Russia’s Ambassador to Niamey Viktor Voropayev in an interview with the Russian media RT.
🟠After gunfire broke out overnight from Friday to Saturday, the command requested support from Russian servicemen, which was provided;
🟠by midday, the rebels had decided to surrender and were neutralized;
🟠in the evening, the chief of staff of the armed forces and the chief of staff of the ground forces visited the Africa Corps base and thanked its personnel.
