Ethiopia to Launch Three Power Generation Projects in 2027: CEO of Ethiopian Electric Power
Two or three additional power generation projects are scheduled to commence in the new budget year, engineer Ashebir Balcha told Sputnik Africa.
They include:
▪hydroelectric power plant Genale Dawa 6;
▪a wind power project located in the Dewele area;
▪a 125-megawatt solar power plant to be built in the Somali Region.
Earlier, Ethiopia's Minister of Water and Energy Habtamu Itefa Geleta, responding to his Egyptian counterpart Hani Sewilam, said that his country will not seek anyone's permission to develop its water resources.
