Sanctions "will not affect or weaken" the army's resolve in its conflict with the paramilitary RSF, Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan said, downplaying the US proposal to extend the Darfur arms embargo to all of Sudan.
External pressure "will not change Khartoum's position," the army chief said in remarks to citizens, dismissing the proposal as "propaganda," particularly regarding a possible no-fly zone.
