AES Confederal Parliament Establishes Defense, Diplomacy and Development Committees
The decision was made in Niamey on Tuesday during a session led by President of the Legislative Assembly of Burkina Faso Ousmane Bougouma, with the adoption of internal regulations for parliamentary procedures.
Unity and Pragmatism
Parliamentarians need to remain united and pragmatic in order to make the AES a space of security, development, and prosperity, the Nigerien President Abdourahamane Tiani said during the meeting with the speakers of the parliaments of Burkina Faso and Mali.
Bougouma hailed the institutional momentum, describing the AES as "an irreversible step towards the happiness" for the region's people.
