Russia Expects to Launch Nuclear Medicine Center Project in Egypt in 2027: Rosatom CEO

According to Aleksey Likhachev, one of the Egyptian side's requests for expanded cooperation was the creation of a high-performance, state-of-the-art nuclear medicine center based on a research reactor, which will serve as a comprehensive solution.

"I think this will be a very significant addition to Egypt's leadership role as one of the world's tourism capitals and will complement the wide range of tourism services with the possibility of medical tourism," he told reporters.

Earlier, Russia had intensified cooperation in nuclear medicine with Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Africa, and Algeria.
