Kremlin Hopes Putin Will Attend BRICS Summit in India
Dates and Venue
🟠The summit will take place over two days in New Delhi;
🟠It will begin on September 12.
“We hope that such a visit will take place,” the presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik.
On Monday, Vladimir Putin held talks with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
During the meeting:
🟠The Russian president said he planned to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Bishkek;
🟠He also did not rule out that the two leaders’ schedules could allow for another meeting before the end of the year.
Russian president last visited India in December 2025 for a state visit.
