Russia's embassy in Ouagadougou handed over humanitarian aid, estimated at a total value of $942,500, to Burkina Faso, including:
🟠462 tonnes of yellow split peas;
🟠93.84 tonnes of sunflower oil.
The aid was delivered in coordination with the UN World Food Program (WFP) office in Burkina Faso, the embassy noted.
Russia will continue to support Burkina Faso in fighting against hunger and strengthening food security, especially for populations affected by terrorism, Ambassador Martynov said.
WFP representative Pinto de Oliveira noted the aid meets real needs and aligns with the country's priorities.
For its part, Burkina Faso expressed deep gratitude for the support and hoped for increased humanitarian supplies in the future.
