Russia to Focus Third Africa Summit Agenda on Economic Issues, MFA Spox Says
Moscow is actively preparing for the third Russia-Africa Summit, Maria Zakharova said.
“Preparations are currently underway for the third Russia-Africa Summit, which, as a reminder, will take place in Moscow. Given our mutual interest in expanding trade and investment cooperation, we plan to focus the agenda of the upcoming high-level meeting on economic issues,” Zakharova said at a briefing.
The heads of state and government of all African countries, as well as the heads of executive bodies of the continent’s regional integration organizations, have been invited, she noted.
Russia and African countries have significant untapped potential for economic cooperation, the diplomat added.
The third Russia-Africa Summit will take place on October 28–29 in Moscow.
