Putin-Goïta Phone Call 'Reinforces Our Aspirations for Friendship Between Russia & Sahel States': Malian Parliamentarian
The phone call between the Russian president and his Malian counterpart provided “assurance that military cooperation between the Sahel states and Russia will be strengthened,” Fousseynou Ouattara, Vice President of Mali’s Commission for Defense, Security and Civil Protection, told Sputnik Africa.
Cooperation between the Malian Armed Forces and Russia’s Africa Corps has already proven effective, particularly following the terrorist attacks in late April, he said.
“Thanks to this cooperation, we were able to repel all these attacks. The population is now living peacefully,” Ouattara said.
