Russia Bolsters Frontline Defense With Upgraded Air Defense Systems: Rostec
Russia has reinforced its battlefield defenses with a new batch of Pantsir-S mobile combat vehicles and stationary Pantsir-SMD systems.
Delivered by state corporation Rostec, the hardware has cleared all rigorous military testing and is already operational in the SMO zone.
Key characteristics of the advanced air-defense systems:
🟠Heavy Firepower: Configurable launch racks can pack up to 48 rounds, firing standard surface-to-air missiles, hypersonic projectiles, and short-range interceptors.
🟠24/7 Protection: Operating around the clock, the Pantsirs intercept everything from drones to ballistic and cruise missiles, shielding both troops and civilian infrastructure.
🟠Anti-Swarm Tech: The Pantsir-SMD variant is specifically engineered to repel massed UAV strikes and is actively proving its effectiveness in real combat conditions.
