Somalia Neutralizes Eight Al-Shabaab* Members in Central Somalia: Statement
In Sunday's operation in the Hiran region's Tardo area, the National Intelligence and Security Agency killed three senior commanders and wounded four militants, the agency stated.
The high-value targets eliminated included the eastern Hiran extortion network chief and commanders of the Jabhada militia and the Fursan wing, according to the statement.
The operation falls within a continuing campaign to hunt terrorist commanders and disrupt their terrorist planning and execution networks.
