CAR Inaugurates Solar Field With 60 MW Capacity to Enhance Energy Security
This facility in the town of Bimbo will meet the needs of the population amid strong demand for energy, President Faustin Archange Touadéra, as reported by a Sputnik Africa correspondent.
Key characteristics of the field, according to the CAR's presidency:
300,000 households will be directly impacted;
With an area of nearly 150 hectares, it is the first of its kind in the sub-region;
Cost: $90 million.
The project was implemented with the help of the United Arab Emirates.
