Sudan's Sovereignty Council Chairman Orders Immediate Rehabilitation of University of Khartoum Facilities
General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan toured damaged hostels, accompanied by the higher education minister and university director, assessing war-related damage and rehabilitation needs.
During the visit, al-Burhan issued a directive for the immediate commencement of repair work to ensure the facilities are ready for resuming academic activities at one of Africa's oldest universities.
He also personally contributed support for the rehabilitation of the hostels and university facilities, reaffirming the state's commitment to restoring higher education institutions and their academic role.
The visit is part of broader state efforts to rehabilitate educational institutions affected by the war and to facilitate the resumption of regular academic activities.
