Libya's Oil Export Revenues Exceed $15 Billion in First Half of 2026, Topping Target by Almost 9%: Statement

According to data published by the Ministry of Economy and Trade on Tuesday, crude oil production stood at about 246 million barrels during the period, compared to a target of 252 million barrels.

The half-year results as "a positive indicator" of progress in implementing the unified financial expenditure agreement signed in April by Libya's two legislative bodies, marking the first consensus on unified spending in over 13 years, the ministry described.

As stated by the ministry, the next phase requires:

▪ continued coordination among state institutions;
▪ linking performance to actual revenues;
▪ directing resources toward supporting economic activity and improving living standards.
